Job Summary

The Assembly Manager oversees daily assembly operations to ensure safety efficiency quality and on-time production. This role leads a team of assemblers coordinates workflows develops standardized processes and collaborates closely with production quality engineering and leadership teams. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with hands-on leadership experience in manufacturing preferably within coatings automotive or industrial production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supervise and mentor a team of assembly technicians and leads.
  • Plan schedule and coordinate daily assembly operations to meet production goals.
  • Develop implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Ensure all safety policies quality standards and compliance requirements are followed.
  • Collaborate with engineering quality and production teams to support new builds process improvements and root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor performance metrics (productivity scrap downtime quality issues) and recommend improvements.
  • Identify resource needs and allocate staffing based on workload and priorities.
  • Train new and existing employees on proper assembly techniques equipment and safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve problems quickly.
  • Maintain proper inventory of assembly tools supplies and materials.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality throughput and efficiency.
  • Participate in production planning meetings and provide operational updates.
  • Ensure clean organized and audit-ready assembly work areas.



Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience supervising or managing teams in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Experience in coatings automotive or industrial manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes production workflows and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings instructions and specifications.
  • Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing 5S or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems (production software MS Office etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

  • Full-time position
  • Manufacturing/assembly environment
  • Occasional overtime may be required depending on production needs
