Key Responsibilities for BI/Data Analyst Intern
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather clean and organize large datasets from multiple sources.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: Identify patterns trends and anomalies using statistical and analytical techniques.
- Visualization & Reporting: Create dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI Tableau or Excel to communicate insights effectively.
- Database Support: Assist in database design maintenance and optimization.
- Algorithm Development: Support the development of models and algorithms for data analysis.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Compliance & Data Integrity: Ensure adherence to data governance and regulatory standards.
Technical Knowledge
- Tools: Power BI SQL Python Excel (advanced functions) Tableau.
- Concepts: Data modeling ETL workflows statistical analysis and visualization best practices.
- Optional: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) automation (VBA Python scripts) and CI/CD for data pipelines.
Educational Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Data Science Computer Science Statistics Business Analytics or related fields.
- Coursework or certifications in data analysis tools (SQL Python Power BI) is highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Effective communication for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
