Structural Engineer

About the Role:
This role is ideal for an engineer with 3-5 years structural experience and a strong grounding in analysis modelling and design. You will contribute to both conventional and proprietary building systems providing safe efficient and technically sound solutions across a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design using FEM techniques and specialised engineering software.

Prepare verify and present structural calculations reports and design specifications.
-
Collaborate with architects engineers draughtsmen and construction teams to ensure structural integrity and design accuracy.

Conduct structural assessments and site inspections during design and construction phases.
-
Ensure all designs comply with relevant SANS codes building regulations and project standards.
-
Support construction teams by resolving design queries and proposing practical innovative engineering solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
-
3-5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
-
Proficiency in FEM tools such as Autodesk Robot ETABS Prokon or similar.

Strong understanding of SANS requirements and local construction methods.
-
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.
-
Strong analytical mindset with close attention to detail.
-
Progress toward ECSA registration will be advantageous.
