Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Leader participates in planning organizing implementing and evaluating patient care and developing programs to support clinical care consistent with the mission and goals of Brigham & Womens Faulkner Hospital as well as the requirements of JCAHO and other applicable federal state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. Responsibilities include participation in oversight and operation of the patient care area ensuring quality patient care for patients in the following age groups: pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics. The Clinical Leader will also ensure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Nursing required and Masters Degree Nursing preferred
- MA Registered Nurse required
- Basic Life Support required
- ICU experience - 2-3 years required but 5 years preferred
- CCRN preferred
- Adheres to all C.A.R.E. standards
- Meets all expectations of staff nurse job description
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Works with the Nursing Director to evaluate practice recommend change and identify outcomes related to nursing practice
- Able to plan and implement educational opportunities
- Act a resource and mentor
- Demonstrated history of:
- Excels at demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients in the relevant area of nursing practice.
- Demonstrates leadership skills appropriate to positions responsibilities.
