The role is hybrid however the post holder would be required to work from Birmingham City Council buildings as business needs dictate.
Are you passionate about ensuring that every child thrives and fulfils their potential by attending and succeeding in school regularly Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Children and Families Directorate as a Managed Moves Coordinator.
In this vital role you will be part of a team providing high-quality alternative provision for young people who require educational provision under section 19 of the 1996 Education Act including those with medical needs using notifications from schools and children subject to off-site direction or a managed move ensuring they are offered appropriate provision.

As a Managed Moves Coordinator you will be responsible for:
We are looking for candidates with a good standard of education possessing NVQ3 / A level or equivalent and who possess two years casework experience in schools youth services social care or local authority attendance services. Additionally the successful candidate should have experience of working within statutory timescales offering advice support and guidance with experience of extensive working with a variety of different agencies.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to work independently within clear guidelines being responsible for their own actions and organisation of their own workload. The candidate must also possess the ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment and demonstrate the ability to work to tight timescales with accuracy in a pressurised environment. A commitment to equality diversity and inclusion is also key for this role.
