Job Summary
Ready to build projects that keep communities running Join us as a Superintendent focused on critical infrastructure - including water and wastewater treatment facilities bridges and other essential public works projects.
Youll lead day-to-day site operations direct production and collaborate closely with project managers and subcontractors to deliver safe high-quality projects that have a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
- Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses
- Provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs
- Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your direction
- Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where its required.
- Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed
Qualifications :
You bring grit accountability and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You thrive in a hands-on environment solving problems on the fly and building trust through clear respectful communicationeven when the pressures on.
- 5 years experience as a Superintendent for a large general contractor
- Background in Critical Infastructure (water wastewater bridge etc.) projects considered a strong asset.
- Journeyman trade certification or equivalent field experience
- Willingness to be hands-on in the field and to work occasional night shifts
- Able and willing to travel and work across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Assets
- Technical diploma in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Gold Seal certification
- NCSO
