The School of Applied Sciences and Arts within the College of Integrative Arts and Sciences on the Downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for Social Science Faculty Associates for the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in Social Science (Sociology Political Science or other Social Science courses as needed); prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester non-benefits-eligible fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications not to exceed an average of 0.40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.

The School of Applied Sciences and Arts leads ASUs Writers Studio which provides first-year composition courses to all ASU Online students. It also offers the nations first degree in military and veterans studies led by ASUs Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement (OVMAE). The OVMAE is committed to the robust support of veteran military-affiliated and dependent students. The school is also home to the Latinx Oral History Lab which offers undergraduate research and storytelling opportunities.
