Responsibilities
Peratons Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nations security. Our team of experts provides innovative engineering logistics sustainment and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure while addressing the most complex cyber operations and national defense challenges.
Peraton is seeking a Systems Administration to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.
The Systems Administrationsupports the daily administration and maintenance of enterprise systems ensuring operational stability and compliance with security requirements. They perform routine system tasks monitor performance and assist in troubleshooting under the guidance of senior administrators.
Responsibilities may include:
The Systems Administration will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware resources and key processes.
- Execute routine system maintenance including applying patches updates and configuration changes.
- Assist with the installation and setup of operating systems applications and utilities.
- Respond to user support requests and resolve common technical issues.
- Escalate complex incidents to senior system administrators for resolution.
- Maintain system documentation including logs configuration files and procedural guides.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience Masters degree with 0 years of experience 6 years of experience with no degree
- US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI.
- Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 451 requirements including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing implementing and maintaining security measures to protect information systems.
- Experience performing system administration tasks in a Windows Linux or Unix environment.
- Familiarity with patching updating and maintaining secure system configurations.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware software and network connectivity issues.
- Understanding of backup restore and disaster recovery processes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with basic scripting or automation tools for routine tasks.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and basic account management functions.
- Understanding of file system permissions and access control.
- Experience supporting software installations and upgrades.
