The Quality Assurance Validation department is responsible for plant validation including validated system (Equipment/Process) risk/design and change control compliance. Our team ensures alignment with Global Quality Systems for validation and related functions e.g. engineering risk management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Validation Engineering position will support the planning and execution of tasks reporting into the QA Validation department. This role will support various areas of manufacturing and/or Quality Control (QC) and interact heavily with our quality organization. Expectations of the role include:
- Execute task as required to implement the Validation Master Plan
- Participate with external engineering and QC departments on new installations system modifications and decommissioning
- Draft and execute validation plans and validation protocols in compliance with cGMP practices
- Ensures investigations of validation failures are completed thoroughly and documented accurately
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in university pursuing a Bachelors in engineering or other related field
- Must be enrolled in school at the time of the Co-Op
- Must be able to commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester MA (July - December).
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
Preferred Qualifications
- Major in chemical engineering mechanical engineering biomedical engineering a plus
- Organization attention to detail communication self-starter ability to ask questions time management etc.
- Equipment-based or instrumentation / installation project exposure a plus
- Experience working in Microsoft Suite especially Excel Word PowerPoint
