2026 Packaging Engineering Co-Op Overview
As an AbbVie Packaging Engineering Co-Op youll participate in a paid six-month program working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. AbbVies Global Packaging organization offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of packaging formats and materials. Throughout the duration there will be developmental and networking activities along with housing and shuttle services for eligible -ops will be expected to work from our North Chicago campus headquartered in north suburban Chicago at least three days per week in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Packaging development and testing for new projects
- Test protocol and test execution
- Material identification selection and specifications
- Data mining for standardization opportunities
- Sustainability and packaging improvement opportunities
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in university pursuing a Bachelors in Packaging or related field
- Must be returning to university the semester following your Co-Op
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving written and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal leadership and project management skills
- Proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation initiative and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
- Strong academic performance GPA 3.0/4.0
