POSITION SUMMARY:
The Material Handler uses industrial equipment to plan prepare stage and load materials (such as resins) within the material prep area. The Material handler keeps an inventory of all material and communicates with the Materials Supervisor for inventory planning.
Shift Hours: Monday -Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Proper preparation (drying and/or mixing) of resins for production
- Prepares resins for use in sampling.
- Maintain the supply of resins for the mold machines
- Accurate record keeping of material handling activities and inventory control
- Stage materials to be used on the production floor
- Grind runners and bad parts
- Maintain 5s duties to stay clean and organized
- Assist production as needed in other positions
- Follow applicable safety quality and environmental policies and procedures
- Wear applicable personal protective equipment
- Actively participate in continual improvement corrective action and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate material staging and usage with Plastics Operations Manager
- Utilize six-sigma quality tools when appropriate to define measure analyze improve and control processes and outcomes.
- Responsible to maintain & support processes procedures & K.P.I.s owned by your position.
- Review of all procedures related to your job per HR LG 01 Training Matrix
- Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in HR LG 01 Training Matrix
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge in plastic resins and mixing techniques
- Strong math skills
- Ability to use lifting equipment
- Familiar with weights and measures
- Able to maneuver up to 2200 lbs. of material (using equipment) as necessary
- Able to follow written and oral instruction
- Basic computer skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses hearing protection steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
