The Vet Office is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly skilled dedicated team at a modern small-animal clinic located in the Coolock area.

Separate cat and dog wards

A fully equipped surgical theatre

Diagnostic facilities including an X-ray suite

A bright comfortable reception area

A strong commitment to fear-free handling and patient comfort
The team consists of experienced vets nurses and ACAs who prioritise high-quality patient care excellent client communication and teamwork.
Role Summary
The Lead Veterinary Surgeon plays a central role in the leadership structure of the clinic with overarching responsibility for:

Clinic performance and day-to-day operations

Delivery of exceptional clinical standards

Team engagement development and mentorship
-
Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and care quality
The role offers significant autonomy supported by regional and operational partners to ensure the clinic meets its clinical client-care and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership

Lead the clinical team with a positive motivational approach

Provide coaching mentoring and support to vets nurses and ACAs
- Communicate internal updates effectively through regular team meetings
- Collaborate with operational and medical support teams to set long-term clinical strategy

Promote equality inclusion teamwork and a healthy clinic culture

Build strong working relationships at all levels

Education Experience & Skills Required
Qualifications

MVB DVM or equivalent
- Further qualifications in leadership finance or advanced clinical training (desirable)
