DescriptionThe IA VECE group of SPS business is oriented in looking in cost saving opportunities among various Industrial Automation products such as industrial gas and flame detection devices but not limited only to these. Developed and produced devices detect environmental conditions based on sensors working at various physical principles. Detectors are typically installed at oil rigs oil refineries chemical factories and other high-demanding and safety critical installations.
Before introducing products to the market those devices are tested and certificated at multiple certification authorities. Currently produced models are constantly checked for cost saving design changes. The main scope of Firmware Interns involvement is to design and conduct tests on firmware of the developed device document it and support rest of the team by providing accurate feedback and documents.
This paid role is part of ourUniversity Relationsprogram designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience mentorship and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
Responsibilities- Design and automate test of firmware
- Review technical documentation and execute test procedures
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- Basic knowledge of C or Python and compilers for embedded systems
- Basic knowledge of electronic circuits
- Basic ability to understand principles and algorithms from software point of view
- Ability to define and write test procedures based on software requirements
- Intermediate English proficiency or better

- Experience with any of optic mechanic electronic or software troubleshooting of industrial devices
- Soldering skills / hobbyist or makers attitude
- Understanding electronic schematics ability to prototype electronic hardware
- Arduino or any other embedded software/hardware experience
