Zions Bancorporation is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Cloud Infrastructure and Security skills for an excellent opportunity within our Cloud Services team. This Cloud Engineer will establish Google Cloud foundations while on-boarding native cloud services to meet infrastructure and project specifications and needs.

This Cloud Engineer will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable highly available secure and reliable platforms and architecture on GCP full-stack.

• Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state Google Cloud Platform.

• Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.

• Assist with the development of and management of security & governance processes to ensure that cloud deployments are secure while following industry best practices.

• Explore and integrate AI tools into workflows to enhance efficiency and drive innovation.

• Apply an Engineering Mindset: Approach problems with curiosity and critical thinking.

• Use data-driven methods to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Design solutions that are scalable and maintainable while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and sharing insights with the team

Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong background in architecting and operating cloud environments at-scale.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture services and security with a proven track record of successful implementations.

• Expert-level understanding of Terraformand related automation tools; experience with Ansible and Git.

• Solid experience inDevSecOps zero-touch automation CI/CD Pipelinesand shift-left security practices.

• Strong understanding of cloud networking security principles and compliance frameworks.

• Proficiency inLinux (RHEL) and strong programming skillsfor automation and tooling.

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale UT.

The Zions Technology Center is a 400000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site the sustainably built campus is the companys primary technology and operations center.
