Chemistry Teacher – Independent School – Hertfordshire

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate and academically strong Chemistry Teacher to join a prestigious Independent School in Hertfordshire. This is a full-time permanent position available for either an immediate or January start depending on the availability of the successful candidate. The Role

You will be responsible for teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach A-Level Chemistry (KS5) for suitable candidates. The department is academically ambitious well-resourced and supported by specialist technicians allowing for a strong practical and investigative approach to teaching. Pupils are inquisitive motivated and thrive in lessons that challenge them intellectually.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or related subject

• QTS PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Ability to teach Chemistry up to GCSE with KS5 preferred

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education

• High expectations of pupil progress and behaviour

• Commitment to professional development and teamwork
