Job Summary
A well-regarded Good-rated secondary school in Bishops Stortford is seeking a committed and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join their thriving DT department for an immediate start. This is a full-time permanent opportunity suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to join a supportive forward-thinking school community.
About the Role
You will deliver Design & Technology across KS3KS4 with opportunities to contribute to GCSE pathways depending on your specialism. The department offers a broad and exciting curriculum covering:
Product Design
Resistant Materials
Engineering principles
CAD/CAM and 3D modelling
The role includes planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons supporting students through project-based learning and guiding them from design concept through to final manufacture. Technician support is strong ensuring lessons are well-resourced and safely run.
You will also be encouraged to contribute to:
Curriculum development
Cross-curricular STEM projects
Extra-curricular clubs and enrichment activities
