Ironbelly Studios is a team of 20 gaming veterans whove contributed to franchises including Call of Duty Halo Bioshock PUBG and Batman across 300 projects. Now were building our own competitive multiplayer FPS in Unreal Engine 5new system architecture from the ground up not maintenance work.
The Mission
Youll architect performance-critical UI systems for a competitive multiplayer FPS where every millisecond matters:
- Build server-authoritative HUDs with client-side prediction for responsive combat feedback
- Craft instant-feeling inventory and loadout systems that handle rapid player decisions
- Connect interfaces with complex gameplay systems including weapon mechanics AI state and player progression
- Support real-time combat data visualization spectator modes and rapid iteration cycles
The Mission

Your code will handle real-time combat data spectator modes and the rapid iteration cycles that competitive gaming demands.
Core Requirements
- 3 years game UI programming experience
- Unreal Engine UI implementation (UMG Slate or equivalent game UI frameworks)
- C proficiency with hands-on UI system work
- Blueprint/visual scripting experience
- 1 shipped game (commercial indie or substantial mod)
Ideal Experience
- Multiplayer FPS or competitive game UI work
- UE5s UMG system depth
- UI performance optimization targeting 60 FPS
- Real-time data synchronization patterns
- Platform certification experience

Location & Work Model
Montreal Quebec Hybrid (1-3 days/week in office)
Were building a centralized team in one of gamings most vibrant cities. Candidates local to Montreal or willing to relocate are strongly preferred. Fully remote arrangements are possible for exceptional candidates but will be evaluated case-by-case.
