Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Resident Engineer to lead and support the consolidation of four existing Microsoft on-premises Active Directory (AD) domains and mail servers into a single unified environment. This role is 100% on-premises with no cloud integration and requires the engineer to be on-site full-time for five years in a fully air-gapped environment.
The engineer will be responsible for design implementation migration and ongoing support of Microsoft services ensuring secure stable and efficient operations across the consolidated infrastructure.
Tasks
- Design implement and manage the Active Directory infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of administrative tasks within the Microsoft environment.
- Provide expert-level support for Active Directory including troubleshooting patch management and upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Active Directory with other IT systems and applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for identity management and access control.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory environments including Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and domain controller configuration.
- Strong understanding of network protocols DNS DHCP and other core networking services as they relate to Active Directory.
- Experience with identity and access management solutions including security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
