Project Name Alberta Courts Technology Ecosystem
Scope Court Technology Services (CTS) within Alberta Courts is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to support and oversee the Alberta Courts technology ecosystem. The architect will define the enterprise architecture vision strategy standards and governance to ensure integrated cost-effective and sustainable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture Leadership -
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture (EA) frameworks.

Assess current-state architecture and define target-state architectures.

Align technology initiatives with business strategy and court system requirements.

Set architecture standards principles and governance models to reduce redundancy and drive consistency.
Strategic Technology & Transformation -
Guide large-scale digital and technology transformation projects.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable cost-effective solutions.
-
Model business processes capabilities and information flows.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement -
Work with business leaders technical teams and solution architects to ensure alignment across systems and services.
-
Communicate and promote architectural vision strategy and principles across the organization.
Risk Security & Optimization -
Manage architecture-related risks and support security best practices.

Provide oversight for solution architects and engineering teams.
-
Support cost optimization and manage technical debt.
Working Hours & Location -
Hours: 08:15 16:30 Alberta Time Monday to Friday (excluding provincial holidays).

Location Requirement: Work must be performed within Alberta due to network and data security restrictions.

Work Model: Hybrid-typically three days per week onsite (Tuesdays Wednesdays and one flexible day). Schedule may change based on operational requirements.

8 years Leading cross-functional agile product teams.

5 years Architecting managing and maintaining Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters.

8 years Identifying/assessing requirements across architecture domains.

7 years Documenting application architectures in enterprise IT environments.

7 years Planning designing implementing and supporting platform solutions.

8 years Leadership in planning estimating presentations and solution direction.

5 years Collaboration on designing and optimizing enterprise solutions.
