Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services floating between units within a short-term acute care/Level III trauma center. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 9-11 patients per day requiring acute care experience and the ability to work independently while contributing to the team.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients physical and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients functional skills and independence.
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises activities of daily living training and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Monitor and document patients progress adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Manage own schedule effectively and proactively seek opportunities to assist the team.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and other team members.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license.
- Acute care experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Inpatient Rehab experience.
Special Considerations:
- The position requires a self-starter who can manage their schedule and assist the team.
Scheduling:
- Work schedule and shifts are not specified.
- Weekends are not required.
- On-call is not required.
- Block schedules are not required.
