Job Summary
Incident Response: Serve as a primary responder for critical production incidents driving rapid triage investigation and resolution to minimize service disruption.
Post-Mortems: Lead and document post-incident reviews (post-mortems) ensuring root causes are identified and preventative measures are implemented to reduce future occurrences.
Reliability and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Disaster Recovery (DR) & Failover: Develop implement and regularly test Disaster Recovery
SLA Guarantees & Policies: Define monitor and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) ensuring the platform meets or exceeds its committed availability and performance targets.
Infrastructure and Platform Management
Cluster Policy & Scale Needs: Manage and enforce Cluster Policy configurations and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards. Plan for future Scale Needs and implement automatic scaling strategies to handle fluctuating load efficiently.
Cost Management: Utilize Cost Calculators and monitoring tools to analyze infrastructure expenditure identifying and implementing optimizations to improve resource utilization and reduce cloud costs.
Auditing and Compliance: Participate in Auditing activities ensuring infrastructure configurations adhere to security compliance and internal standards
