Reports to: Chief Business Officer – Consumer Business
Role Overview:
The Head of E-Commerce will be responsible for leading Pidilite’s e-commerce agenda for its Consumer
Products portfolio. This role will focus on strengthening the presence of Pidilite’s iconic consumer brands (Fevicol Feviquick Dr. Fixit M-Seal Hobby Ideas and others) across digital commerce channels. The mandate includes driving growth on marketplaces building a robust Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) presence unlocking opportunities in new-age formats like quick commerce and social commerce and ensuring that Pidilite’s consumer brands remain category leaders in the online ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Business Growth
- Define and execute the e-commerce strategy for Pidilite’s Consumer Business aligned with overall business objectives.
- Deliver revenue and profitability targets for the e-commerce channel while building sustainable long-term category growth online.
- Drive business expansion across marketplaces D2C quick commerce and emerging digital commerce models.
- Marketplace & Channel Development
- Manage strategic partnerships with all relevant Ecommerce platforms.
- Lead annual and quarterly joint business plans with platforms to drive visibility category leadership and brand salience.
- Ensure availability assortment and optimized pricing to win in the digital shelf environment.
- D2C & Consumer Engagement
- Build and scale Pidilite’s D2C initiatives to create stronger consumer connect and loyalty.
- Use consumer insights and data analytics to personalize offerings and enhance consumer experience.
- Strengthen omni-channel synergies by linking offline brand equity with digital-first commerce initiatives.
- Brand & Marketing Integration
- Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to design digital-first campaigns that resonate with online consumers.
- Lead content optimization SEO/SEM influencer marketing and performance campaigns tailored for Pidilite’s consumer categories.
- Build thought leadership for Pidilite brands in DIY repair craft and home improvement categories through e-commerce platforms.
- Cross-functional & Operational Leadership
- Partner with supply chain finance and IT teams to ensure efficient operations accurate forecasting and on-time fulfillment.
- Lead mentor and grow a high-performing e-commerce team with expertise across account management marketing and analytics.
- Data Insights & Analytics
- Build strong data-driven capabilities to monitor channel performance profitability and consumer behavior.
- Share insights with category and brand teams to strengthen innovation pipelines and consumer-centric strategies.
Requirements:
- MBA or equivalent; professional certifications or executive education in e-commerce/digital marketing is a strong plus.
- 14–15 years of digital commerce experience with experience in leadership or P&L ownership.
- Demonstrated success in scaling e-commerce businesses and managing channel P&L.
- Strong understanding of consumer categories digital shelf dynamics and e-commerce marketing levers. • Experience in partnering with leading platforms and shaping D2C strategies.
