Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer with around 1 year of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual and/or automated testing reporting defects and collaborating closely with the development team to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test cases test scenarios and test plans.
Execute manual test cases for web mobile or backend applications.
Perform different types of testing such as functional regression smoke sanity and UI testing.
Identify document and track defects using tools like JIRA Bugzilla or similar.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely bug resolution.
Contribute to test data creation and environment setup.
(If applicable) Execute basic automation scripts using tools such as Selenium Postman JUnit/TestNG etc.
Participate in QA process improvements sprint planning and daily standups.
Ensure that product releases meet defined quality standards.

Required Skills

1 year of experience in software QA/testing (manual and/or automation).
Good understanding of SDLC STLC and bug life cycle.
Experience writing clear test cases and test documentation.
Familiarity with tools like JIRA TestRail Postman Selenium or similar (based on the role).
Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL queries is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic understanding of version control tools (e.g. Git).
Knowledge of automation frameworks or scripting languages (Java/Python/JavaScript).
Experience with mobile application testing.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related field.
