We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing Home in Co Dublin.
Responsibilities
Support the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the home.
Contribute as an active member of the team including the Multidisciplinary Care Team Risk Management Team Incident Management Team and Infection Control Team as required.
Stay updated on current practices and developments relevant to the role.
Maintain strict resident confidentiality at all times sharing information only in a professional capacity and with the approval of the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing.
Motivate and guide team members through clear goals objectives and performance reviews.
Manage care staff effectively addressing HR-related issues appropriately.
Promote open communication positive working relationships and a culture of initiative within the team.
Ensure appropriate delegation of care tasks considering the experience competence and scope of practice of each staff member.
Work towards a restraint-free environment in line with national policy.
Address disciplinary or grievance matters in accordance with job descriptions organisational policies and professional codes of practice.
Ensure staff rights working hours and responsibilities comply with legislation and best practice.
Confirm that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
Ensure staff receive appropriate training in safeguarding whistleblowing and the prevention detection and response to abuse.
Attend or chair meetings as required and keep staff informed of organisational developments.
Requirements
Nursing qualification with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Postgraduate qualification in Gerontology.
Previous experience in caring for older adults.
Experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager for at least 1 year (preferred)
