Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler with experience working on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. This role involves assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components hardware and enclosures associated with PCB-based products. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience assembling small components reading assembly drawings and working with precision tools in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble PCB-based products sub-assemblies and enclosures according to assembly drawings schematics and work instructions.
Install and secure mechanical components such as brackets housings connectors standoffs and heat sinks onto PCBs and chassis.
Use hand tools (screwdrivers torque drivers pliers) small power tools and measurement equipment.
Handle PCBs and electronic components following proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
Inspect assemblies for proper fit alignment and quality; report discrepancies to the supervisor or engineering team.
Read and interpret BOMs (Bill of Materials) wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.
Complete required documentation including assembly travelers checklists and quality logs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following all safety and ESD guidelines.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
12 years of assembly experience preferably in electronics or PCB assembly.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings assembly instructions and BOMs.
Experience working with precision hand tools and small hardware.
Familiarity with ESD procedures.
Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
Strong attention to detail quality and accuracy.
Preferred:
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
Experience with soldering (IPC certification is a plus).
Knowledge of PCBs wiring cabling or small sub-assemblies.
Work Environment
Electronics/PCB manufacturing environment.
Work requires PPE and adherence to ESD protocols.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-40 lbs.
This is an onsite position Monday through Friday day shift.
