We are seeking an Maintenance Lead 1st Shift to join our team. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a warehouse environment expertise with hand tools and power tools and the fitness required to perform a variety of physical tasks both indoors and out.
A day at Lakeshore looks like this:
- Manage projects on all shifts
- Work with venders. Parts/quotes
- Manage Maintenance 5k system.
- Run start up meetings
- Assign workload for the department/shifts
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on the facilitys conveyor system using industry-accepted procedures plans and manuals
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical problems related to all material-handling equipment and components
- Maintain and troubleshoot when required all motors photo eyes relays proximity sensors solenoids motor starters etc.
- Maintain and repair as needed the facilitys material handling racking and shelving
- Perform routine maintenance on the facility infrastructure
- Maintain dock levelers and overhead doors
- Ensure forklift batteries have appropriate water levels and are charged timely and correctly
- Assist and support in janitorial duties as required
- Demonstrate an awareness and compliance with Loss and Prevention and Safety policies and procedures
Qualifications :
Got the skills and experience Heres what were looking for:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent combination of training education and experience
- Ability to coordinate and source vendors in partnership with leadership team on building needs
- Plan coordinate and maintain PM schedules and spare parts lists within internal maintenance system
- Ability to balance both physical duties with other administrative duties as needed
- Collect and submit vendor invoices upon competition of services
- Organized and has great communication skills
- Forklift-certified or willingness to acquire certification. Knowledge of forklift repair and troubleshooting a plus
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Ability to work in conditions that may include small spaces dust fumes/odors hot/cold temperatures inside/outside noise vibration standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
- Able to work at elevated heights
- Ability and willingness to perform limited overtime including weekends and off-shift hours
- Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
