We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Maître dHôtel to lead the efficient and profitable operations of our luxury hotels this pivotal role you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional guest experiences by overseeing all aspects of restaurant service staff management and operational excellence all while upholding our established standards and procedures. You will work closely with Restaurant Managers and collaborate synergistically with other hotel departments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Leadership: Plan and organize all restaurant activities including staff assignments and floor plans adapting to hotel occupancy and special events (weddings conferences etc.). Ensure impeccable cleanliness and optimal functioning of all resources.
- Guest Experience Excellence: Warmly welcome guests guiding them through their dining journey. Proactively manage staff to ensure every guest receives exceptional personalized service anticipating their needs handling requests and resolving any issues or complaints promptly. Continuously check guest satisfaction regarding food beverages and service to identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management & Development: Lead motivate and manage restaurant staff (Chefs de Rang Commis de Rang Hostesses). This includes orienting training scheduling coaching and providing constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement and professional growth. Collaborate with Restaurant Managers and HR on development needs.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Maintain constant alignment with other hotel departments to seamlessly manage specific occasions or VIP guests. Collaborate with the F&B Director Assistant F&B Director Special Events team and Marketing for event planning and promotional initiatives.
- Quality & Financial Oversight: Monitor restaurant quality and financial performance actively contributing to the definition and implementation of improvement actions. Participate in inventory assessments to facilitate efficient replenishment.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in a similar Maître dHôtel role within a 5-star luxury hotel or a high-end restaurant.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example with strong people management skills capable of effectively coordinating diverse restaurant teams.
- Sound knowledge of premium food & beverage products and the high-level service standards expected in a luxury environment (both individual guests and MICE).
- Exceptional communication public relations expertise and high emotional intelligence to understand and anticipate guest needs.
- Strong attention to detail excellent organizational planning and problem-solving abilities especially in challenging situations.
- Maintain a constant professional and well-groomed appearance. Possess flexibility adaptability and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Very good knowledge of Italian and English is required; French proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Strong awareness of OHS procedures hygiene standards and HACCP requirements.
- Legal right to work in Italy.
