The Office of the District Attorney Bronx County (BXDA) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. In furtherance of this mission the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Program Specialist.
CJB is seeking a Program Specialist to assist with various clerical and administrative tasks that support CJB operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Support daily operations of the Supreme Court Problem-Solving Court including assisting ADAs in tracking and managing cases and updating orders of protection.
- Maintain and update databases for CPL 730 mental health cases including tracking statuses and outcomes.
- Assist with drafting and serving of court orders and minutes requests
- Communicate with the Court and the Sheriffs Office to facilitate transports
- Access and manage court and case information for multiple data systems.
- Prepare and organize digital and physical records of diversion case materials.
- Provide backup support and be cross-trained to assist all Community Justice Bureau professional staff roles
- Perform all bureau-related duties as needed including but not limited to drafting correspondence updating tracking systems and document preparation.
- All other related duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelors degree or a high school diploma with four years of work experience in a law firm governmental agency or non-profit organization is required.
- Experience as a paralegal is preferred.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
