The Brooklyn Borough President seeks a Chauffeur/Driver to be part of an energetic collaborative and innovative team. This position will report to the Manager of the Executive Support Team. Candidates must have excellent time management skills experience driving an executive or elected official and superior knowledge of the Citys and particularly Brooklyns roads and highways. The Chauffeur/Driver will safely transport the Deputy Borough President throughout the City to facilitate external meetings and events.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Transport the Deputy Borough President to and from various meetings and events throughout New York City.
-Transport materials to and from the office and various locations for special events.
-Occasionally lift and move boxes to and from the vehicle.
-Occasionally drive the Borough President and other members of the Executive Team - Use technology like Waze Google Maps and Outlook Calendar to coordinate travel time.
-Maintain the daily care of the Deputy Borough Presidents vehicles including scheduled service cleanliness fuel oil change etc.
-Coordinate with the Scheduling Unit to assure successful completion of scheduled events and meetings.
-Always demonstrate safe driving skills in compliance with New York State and New York City driving laws.
-Report all mechanical issues accidents to the Operations and Fleet Coordinator.
-Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications :
New York State Drivers License with a clean driving record for the past five (5) years.
2.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
and/or experience which is equivalent to 2 or 3 above. However all candidates must have at least two years of experience as described in 2 above.
