Join our team as a 2026Summer Intern to support our growing portfolio of work with utility companies. You will be learning and helping to deliver a holistic strategy to focus onexternal benchmarkingand competitive analysisto evaluate and compare performance of utility programs to help drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
This is an entry-level 10-week full time internship that begins in early June 2026.The workwill be hybrid out of KansasCityMO.Pay is expected to be $23 per hour.At this time we are unable to provide relocationnorhousing assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Execute targeted outreach initiatives to drive engagement within key agricultural sectors byrepresentinga utility at industry events andleveragingcross-promotional opportunities.
Conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspection on work performed
Conduct competitive analysis of utility programs across theagriculturalindustry focusing on cost efficiency performance andparticipationmetricsfor conventional growers and controlled environment agriculture operations.
Determinewhat program types/designs are meeting and/or surpassing performance indicators ($/kWh total/kWh participant levels goal achievement percentages etc.).
Research industry trends best practices and regulatory changes toidentifyareas for improvement and innovation aroundagricultureprogram design delivery and performance metrics.
Work with teams to improveagriculturaldata collection analysis and reporting processes.
Develop dashboards reports visualizations tools to communicatepracticalinsightsto growers farm managers and greenhouse operators.
Basic Qualifications
By start date a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably energy or environmentagriculturebusiness economics engineering oragriculturerelated subject.
Must be able to pass any required background check(s) which may include drug screening.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Knowledge of farm practices and vairy farm industries
Experience with precision agriculture technologies
Sales experience in agriculture
Knowledge of USDA federal programs forfarmerssuch as REAP.
Knowledge of or interest inutilityand energy efficiency demand response and distributed energy resource programs and marketsfor commercial agriculture operations.
Sound business ethics including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Proficiencyin Business Applications (such as Google MS Office Visualizations Data AnalyticsPowerBI).
Strong analytics skills and experience working with large datasets.
Strong communicationand presentation skills to translate data insights into actionable recommendationsfor farm operators.
