Role Purpose:
To ensure that Tate and Lyle / CP Kelco products are transported to our customers in the most efficient timely and cost effective manner.
The ideal candidate will possess a can do positive attitude a documented history of success in transportation that includes coordination of load planning carrier and capacity management rate analysis/negotiations accounts payable claims resolution.
Main accountabilities:
Responsible for load planning within the TMS system.
Capacity management with T&L & CP Kelco asset based carriers and freight brokers.
Manage claim process for truck load and LTL damaged goods including investigation filing negotiation settlement collection and documentation.
Research and analyze delivery methods schedules to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
Track trace and report status of outbound loads as well as inbound stock transfers
Relationship management with the T&L and CP Kelco carrier network.
Monitor cargo value to match with carrier selection to minimize risk exposure.
Perform routing analysis as requested
Perform route efficiency and cost savings analysis
Price delivery portion of new business proposals
Frequent interactions with T&L and CP Kelco 3rd party warehouse and plant locations.
Exception management within the TMS system.
Negotiation of spot rates with both van and bulk carriers.
Management of accessorial related charges.
Monitor dock and load out scheduling at T&L and CP Kelco warehouses and plants.
Proactive interaction with Customer Service to address service related issues.
Help develop and implement routing changes as needed.
Work with Accounts Payable to assist in auditing and addressing freight discrepancies
Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.
When determining final compensation we take into consideration: skillset job scope knowledge prior experience cost of living market data budget availability and other factors as permitted by law.
The salary range for this position is $55000 - $81000 Annually
