Job Description
Title: Specialty Claims Examiner Gap & Anti-Theft
Reports to: Specialty Claims Supervisor
Department: Operations / Claims
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Job Purpose
The Specialty Claims Examiner is responsible for adjudicating claims for specialized products such as Gap and Anti-Theft Protection. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of claims while maintaining compliance with policy terms regulatory requirements and company standards. The examiner will work closely with customers dealerships lenders and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and resolve claims efficiently.

Essential Job Functions
  • Review and examine loan and/or insurance documentation to verify contract eligibility.
  • Finalize claim reports submitted via phone email and chat using established claim adjudication processes.
  • Document loss report in our admin system for all interactions with customers lienholders and other stakeholders.
  • Provide claim information on open or pending claims and communicate updates to clients or customers.
  • Properly manage and maintain an assigned list of claim loss reports to ensure files are being settled and closed.
  • Understanding how to read insurance documents dealership documents and review lienholder payment histories.
  • Maintain working knowledge of products and services especially related to focused products and services.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and client experience.
  • Administrative supporting duties as needed
  • Miscellaneous tasks requested by Manager or Leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of claims experience in a call center environment or relevant insurance field
  • Possess a strong understanding of Gap and Anti-Theft claim processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to read and understand contracts and contract language
  • Proven track record of maintaining a high-level of customer contacts (40 calls emails and/or chats per day)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Claims Adjusters License
  • Previous insurance background
