The Team: The position is in the Data Stewardship organization for Insurance Rates & Manuals and Insurance Rate Filings teams in the Industry & Assets Data (IAD) domain within Enterprise Data Organization. These are key teams in the Insurance space with multiple diversified projects such as filings collection for 50 States Manual creation of Rate/Rule and Forms and RateWatch for the Top 10 groups in each State.

The Impact: As part of the Insurance team you will serve in the data stewardship capacity leading driving participating in & managing key initiatives to support MI Data Strategy in radically transforming how we process data evolve core data assets and deliver customer first.

Whats in it for you: The selected candidate would be working as an individual contributor and would have a prospect to enhance project management analytical multi-tasking skills and contribute to and lead projects. This role involves collaborating and interfacing directly with a diverse group of data operations product technology support groups and commercial partners during various stages of the project life cycle. The role demands all round end-to-end involvement right from the foundational aspects of new data collection processes to strengthening existing mature capabilities to scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Extensive analytical research and communication skills needed.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert for the dataset within the domain with deep rooted knowledge of the data structures preparing SQL queries content collection tools loaders feeds workflow design data pipelines and client interfaces CIQPro DMS Loaders & Scrapers.
  • Supporting Operations team whenever required for smooth business operations in consultative capacity to take collaborative calls on critical client cases root cause analysis audit prioritization lean projects automation POCs & UAT.
  • Lead & manage content led projects scoping strategizing coordinating with PMO updating project status health etc. and operate within Program Management Office (PMO) guidelines.
  • Work with multiple teams gather and refine requirements create timely & accurate Features & user stories maintain backlog for content user stories and bugs groom user stories and discuss them with stakeholders for prioritization; provide timely and adequate support to developers and QAs with requirements and testing.
  • Contribute to improve data accuracy and drive operational efficiency support with data clean-up/audit/generic backfill or load processes.
  • Ensure detailed maintenance of documentation notes and necessary training material.

What Were Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Masters degree preferably in Business Finance IT or related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of work experience.
  • Proficient knowledge in SQL & MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-oriented mindset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Exposure of Lean and automation tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum process. Experience of working in Agile would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Insurance industry would be an added advantage.
