We are seeking a Basic Life Support Specialist to:
- Participate in the coordination and development of training materials for AHA BLS coursesandother certification courses taught at UW Health.
- Assist in the curriculum development and ongoing modification of curriculum of courses.
- Participate in the coordination of resources within UW Health and the community to organize and coordinate paramedic education programs and other programs as assigned.
- Teach courses to all levels of emergency care professionals involved in the delivery of emergency and critical care.

Qualifications
- High School High School diploma or equivalent Required
- Completion of a state-approved EMT-Paramedic education program Preferred or
- Bachelors Degree in a healthcare-related field Preferred
Work Experience
- 6 months Relevant teaching experience Required
- 3 years Experience in pre-hospital emergency response care Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Current AHA Instructor in BLS or must obtain within six months from date of hire within 6 months Required
- Wisconsin state licensure as a Registered Nurse Physician Assistant or an EMT-Paramedic Preferred
- Nationally Registered EMT Paramedic Preferred
