Job Summary

Position Summary:The Sensor Test and Evaluation Group is looking for an electronics engineer to support a rapid prototyping team applying electrical and mechanical skills to support the development of custom solutions for the Air Force. The ideal candidate will be a creative out-of-the box thinker who can work with a team to make ideas into reality. Hands-on development fabrication test and troubleshooting skills are a must.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
6 years of relevant experience
Proficient in reading interpreting and editing electrical schematics and diagrams
Proficient in schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board layout
Ability to swiftly translate schematic diagrams and CAD renderings of complex electronic system designs into working prototypes
Effective oral and written communication
Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government candidates for this position must be U.S. citizens

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Proficient at communicating ideas and concepts via oral presentations
Experience with Altium Designer eCAD
Experience with SolidWorks mCAD
Knowledge of embedded C/C programming
Proficient in fabrication/assembly and test of electronics
Soldering (surface mount and through-hole)
Electronic test equipment (power supply DC load function generator multi-meter oscilloscope spectrum analyzer)
Troubleshooting and modification of first article prototypes
Experience with wire harness and cable design and fabrication
Experience with generation and interpretation of technical documentation including Bills of Material (BoMs) technical drawings test reports work instructions training material and engineering change orders
Experience with unmanned systems
Ability to fabricate instrument and operate static test stands for aircraft and vehicle propulsion systems to determine power thrust and specific energy consumption for both electric motor and internal combustion engines.
Advanced knowledge of engine control systems and sensors
Direct experience implementing serial communications such as I2C SPI and UART
Willingness to travel occasionally to CONUS locations
