About the role

  • The Inner-City Health Programme provides health services for vulnerable groups of people living in inner-city Sydney aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of its target populations and ultimately the broader inner-city community.

  • It is comprised of Drug Health Services (Alcohol & Drug and Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology) Mental Health Services and Homeless Health Services.

  • It provides specialist services for defined disorders particularly those related to mental illness addictions and physical health conditions associated with adverse lifestyles and living circumstances.

  • As a Nurse Educator you will enhance the skills and knowledge ofNursing and other clinical staff working within Inner City Health services.

  • You will be responsible for education portfolios/programs within Inner City Health and education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.

About you

  • CurrentlyregisteredasaRegisteredNurse(Division1)withtheAustralianHealthProfessional Regulation Agency.

  • Relevantpost-graduateeducationqualificationsorrelevantpost-graduateclinicalqualificationswitha Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).

  • Demonstrated experience as a registered nurse in either homeless health drug health or mental health.

  • Demonstrated abilitytodevelop implement andevaluateeducation programs using knowledge ofinnovative educational strategies toolsandapproachesincludinge-learning.

  • Demonstratedabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithintheinterdisciplinaryteamanddemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstratedevidenceofintegrationoftheoreticalknowledgeandclinicalskillscriticalthinkingand analysis in their daily practice as a nurse educator.
