About the role
The Inner-City Health Programme provides health services for vulnerable groups of people living in inner-city Sydney aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of its target populations and ultimately the broader inner-city community.
It is comprised of Drug Health Services (Alcohol & Drug and Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology) Mental Health Services and Homeless Health Services.
It provides specialist services for defined disorders particularly those related to mental illness addictions and physical health conditions associated with adverse lifestyles and living circumstances.
As a Nurse Educator you will enhance the skills and knowledge ofNursing and other clinical staff working within Inner City Health services.
You will be responsible for education portfolios/programs within Inner City Health and education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.
About you
CurrentlyregisteredasaRegisteredNurse(Division1)withtheAustralianHealthProfessional Regulation Agency.
Relevantpost-graduateeducationqualificationsorrelevantpost-graduateclinicalqualificationswitha Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).
Demonstrated experience as a registered nurse in either homeless health drug health or mental health.
Demonstrated abilitytodevelop implement andevaluateeducation programs using knowledge ofinnovative educational strategies toolsandapproachesincludinge-learning.
Demonstratedabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithintheinterdisciplinaryteamanddemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstratedevidenceofintegrationoftheoreticalknowledgeandclinicalskillscriticalthinkingand analysis in their daily practice as a nurse educator.
