DescriptionBrief Description:
This position has responsibility for all aspects of production scheduling production reservations and integrity of schedules scheduling mix and adjustments to schedules due to expedited requirements. Responsible for setting and changing production schedules to maximize output of established priorities. Plan finished goods to meet customer requirements. Maintaining high level customer service level loading demand addressing shortages and supporting product evolution.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop maintain and update the master production schedule based on demand forecasts available capacity and material supply.
- Collaborate with production procurement logistics and sales teams to ensure schedules align with business requirements.
- Coordinate sales and manufacturing schedules across multiple locations when needed.
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans to address delays or resource constraints.
- Analyze data to identify scheduling issues process bottlenecks and improvement opportunities; communicate updates to relevant departments.
- Evaluate SIOP build plans and prepare related reports.
- Generate reports on on-time performance capacity utilization and other key production metrics.
- Provide sales revenue and new order booking reports for all divisional product families to support corporate and divisional goals.
- Track capacities product line delivery performance and daily throughput.
- Participate in daily production and planning meetings and ensure effective information flow between production purchasing sales shipping and engineering.
- Develop and implement improved forecasting methods to reduce lead times for product mix variations.
- Conduct detailed analysis of customer orders to enhance lead-time performance on-time shipment goals inventory turns and manufacturing efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as required by direct supervisor.
Requirements:
Minimum
- Bachelors degree in Business Manufacturing or a related discipline
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment materials management production planning or other material planning function.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
- An excellent understanding of manufacturing operations capacity management and appropriate Vertiv products.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (IFS ORACLE etc.)
- Knowledge of S&OP and production scheduling dynamics is required
Preferred
- MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred
- Advanced analytical skills
- Effective cross-functional communication
- Action-oriented and Problem solving oriented
- Detail oriented with ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
