What impact youll make:
As a Nuclear Engineering leader in Controls Engineering you will be an active contributor to the Gas Power business and deliver systems and designs that are fundamental to the GE Vernova purpose. As a Senior Nuclear Engineering Leader you will strengthen our growth readiness and lead controls engineering initiatives in the nuclear sector focused on control system retrofits for both conventional nuclear plants and Small Modular Reactors (SMR). You will act as a key interface with GE Hitachi external customers and internal stakeholders driving high-quality engineering execution and ensuring strong alignment across CSS projects supply chain and the sales team combining strategic thought leadership with hands-on execution to deliver complex nuclear control solutions that support both near-term project success and long-term business growth. Controls Engineering delivers designs that protect operate and control all of GE Vernova Gas Powers new and services power plant projects including Gas Turbine Steam Turbine and Plant.

Roles and Responsibilities

Proven leadership experience in nuclear engineering with a strong background in control systems and retrofit projects.

Deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements safety standards and plant operations.

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage cross-functional collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on-time high-quality outcomes in a regulated industry.

Excellent communication and customer engagement skills capable of building trust and partnerships at senior levels.

Required Qualifications

4 year engineering degree.

10 years of Experience working with nuclear platforms and SMR technologies in the Power Industry

Background in digital modernization of legacy systems and application of advanced control solutions.

Familiarity with supply chain processes in highly regulated industries.

Proven track record of high-quality project execution

Desired Characteristics

Commercial awareness and experience collaborating closely with sales teams to support customer growth opportunities.

Thought leadership in applying innovative technologies including AI automation and advanced analytics within nuclear engineering.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.

You have a network with Power Generation OEM(s) and/or utility customers and/or plant operators.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $167600.00 and $279400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
