Job Summary

Bartender

The Bartender is the first area of service for the guests before arriving at their tables. it is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they leave the bar by providing prompt and friendly service describing and assisting them in making beverage selections. Prepare and process orders and payments on the register. As the Key West Cooking Show (KWCS) Bartender you assume the role of tour guide communicator showman decision-maker memorabilia curator and foodie/mixologist.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Create memorable KWCS experiences for guests by entertaining guests
  • Make drinks to spec recipe and serve food
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all spirits and mixers such as soft drinks juices syrups and bitters.
  • Answer guest questions accurately and politely
  • Make proficient sales transactions using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash and other forms of payment. Maintain proper cash drawer balance.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; this includes customer needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowlege of principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees supervisors other departments and other entities.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing
  • Have a passion for helping people and make their Key West experience a memorable one.
  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
