What Youll Do

As our People Assistant youll be a central pillar of the People team. Helping us run smoothly maintain our high-performance culture and support colleagues across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting day-to-day HR administration including preparing and maintaining documentation
  • Maintaining and updating people data and records ensuring accuracy compliance and confidentiality at all times
  • Helping administer employee benefits such as healthcare volunteer days and wellbeing initiatives
  • Managing the onboarding process ensuring new starters have a seamless introduction to EMJ and supporting the offboarding process for departing employees
  • Coordinating and assisting with the delivery of our internal gold-medal-winning training programme
  • Contributing to HR reporting and metrics helping the team track key data points such as headcount engagement and performance
  • Supporting ad hoc People initiatives- from learning and development to engagement activities and performance management cycles
  • Assisting with team coordination and recruitment administration as required

  • Organised & detail-oriented: You pride yourself on your ability to manage multiple tasks track progress and follow up reliably.
  • A communicator: Friendly professional with strong verbal and written skills; you can interact with people at all levels.
  • Proactive thinker: You dont wait to be told what to do- you anticipate needs spot opportunities and take initiative.
  • Trustworthy: You understand the sensitivity of HR data and treat confidentiality with the seriousness it deserves.
  • Team player: You thrive in a supportive collaborative environment- but you also know when to act independently.
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable with basic systems data entry spreadsheets and documentation.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role is a bonus but not mandatory- we value attitude and potential.

Key Information

  • Salary: 30000
  • Hours: 8.30am 5pm Monday - Friday
  • Reporting to: Head of Recruitment and Retention
  • Location: London/Moorgate office
  • Working pattern: Hybrid 3 days in the office (5 days in the office during probation)

To support your training and development during your initial three-month probation this period will be fully office-based five days a week. Following this we anticipate a regular office presence of at least three days a week to maintain collaboration and team connection.
