We are currently seeking an experienced dedicated and compassionate SENCO to join a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary school in Slough. This is a full-time permanent position starting January 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate). About the SEND Department
The schools SEND Department is well-established well-resourced and supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and specialist staff. The department has:

About the Role
As SENCO your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the schools SEND provision in line with statutory guidance
Overseeing EHCPs learning plans and personalised support packages
Coordinating interventions and monitoring student progress
Supporting advising and training teachers on differentiation and inclusive practice
Line managing Teaching Assistants and support staff
Working closely with parents carers external professionals and leadership teams
Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding policies
Contributing to whole-school strategy pastoral systems and improvement planning
This is a pivotal role in the school and requires a proactive knowledgeable and highly organised individual.
Experience and Qualifications
Qualified SENCO (NASENCO) or willingness to complete the qualification
Extensive experience supporting pupils with SEND in a secondary setting
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Excellent communication leadership and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff families and external agencies
QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
Legal right to work in the UK
Salary
Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) SEN Allowance depending on experience.
