Job Summary

Description:

Client is seeking one full-time AirWatch MDM Engineer resource to manage and support the existing enterprise mobile device management (MDM) environment. The ideal resource with have deep expertise in AirWatch a strong understanding of mobile security and compliance and a passion for modernizing endpoint managment throuch cloud-native solutions.

At a high level the resource will maintain the current VMware Workspace One (AirWatch) infrastructure while working on and helping with the strategic planning and execution of a future migration to Microsoft Intune alongside the Endpoint Engineering Team.

The work is expected to be done onsite supporting multiple Met Council locations across the 7-county metro area.

Interviews will be conducted in-person in St. Paul MN 55101.

Anticipated End Date: January 19 2027

Sample Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the existing AirWatch MDM platform including device enrollment policy configuration application deployment and compliance monitoring for iPhones iPads and Android devices.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for mobile device issues across iOS Android and Windows platforms.
Maintain Verizon AT&T and other Vendor Support Portals for cellular devices
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure mobile device policies align with organizational standards.
Monitor system performance generate reports and implement required improvements to enhance user experience and security posture.
Work on the assessment planning and phased migration from AirWatch to Microsoft Intune including stakeholder engagement pilot testing and documentation.
Develop and maintain technical documentation SOPs and knowledge base articles.
Keep the Met Council leadership updated and current with industry trends and best practices in endpoint management and mobile security.
Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting communication and documentation skills.
Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge transfer

Minimum Qualifications:

3 years of hands-on experience with VMware Workspace ONE / AirWatch administration.
2 years of combined experience using Air Watch MDM software mobile OS platforms and enterprise mobility architecture
2 years of experience with cellular activations on Vendor portals such as Verizon AT&T and T-Mobile.
1 year of combined experience with Microsoft Intune Azure AD and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Intune deployment or migration projects.
Microsoft certifications (e.g. MD-102 SC-300 or AZ-104).
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and conditional access policies.
Experience integrating MDM with identity and access management solutions.
Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools.

Pay rate: $60/hr on W2.
