Location: 12001 W 63rd Place Arvada CO 80004 (100% in-person; limited hybrid remote for approved administrative tasks)
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary Range: $48$60 per hour depending on experience and licensure level
Summary / Objective:
The Play Therapist provides therapeutic services to children and families at CRSs Child and Family Center in Arvada. This role focuses on offering developmentally appropriate trauma-informed support to children and adolescents while contributing to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
Essential Functions:
Provide individual play therapy sessions. Maintain strong therapeutic rapport with children teens and families. Complete accurate and timely documentation. Develop and update individualized treatment plans. Participate in team meetings supervision and case consultation. Communicate with parents or guardians as clinically appropriate. Maintain professional ethical and compliant clinical practices in alignment with DORA and CRS standards. Demonstrate strong organization professionalism motivation and independence. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Licensed applicants may be eligible to provide clinical supervision. Pre-licensed applicants will not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a child-focused therapeutic clinic setting with a supportive and collaborative team.
Physical Demands:
Regular movement within the therapy room sitting on the floor during play therapy and general light physical activity. No heavy lifting required.
Position Type / Hours:
Full-time or part-time. Evening availability (48 PM) and/or weekend hours is required. Scheduling is flexible and may include any day of the week based on client needs.
Travel:
Minimal. Primarily on-site at the Arvada location.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Masters degree in a mental healthrelated field (counseling social work marriage and family therapy or similar). Must be registered with DORA as LPC LPCC LMFT MFTC LSW MSW or LCSW. Less than one year of experience is acceptable.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Three to five years of experience. Registered Play Therapist (RPT) preferred but not required. EMDR-t or EMDR-c preferred but not required.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must maintain active DORA registration in good standing.
