Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as an Evening/Weekend Recreation Coordinator. This role requires a passion for sports exceptional organizational skills and the ability to represent the city with professionalism and decorum. The ideal candidate will have experience in various sports program development and tournament scheduling. Working mainly with adult leagues rentals and youth leagues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep the facility clean and organized.
- Coordinate recreational programs including field supervision equipment preparation and interaction with referees and coaches.
- Develop and implement sports programs that cater to the interests and needs of the community ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for participants.
- Represent the city with decorum and professionalism fostering public confidence in its officials and employees.
- Collaborate with other city departments community organizations and external partners to promote recreational opportunities and enhance public engagement.
- Handle conflict with adult sports leagues and rentals.
- Perform Other Duties Assigned by Supervisors.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications and Expectations
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of soccer and sports management practices is a plus
- Pursuing a degree in Recreation Management or Sports Management is a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
While performing these duties the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing these duties the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent hazardous exposure. Working conditions and physical demands that relate directly to the essential job duties and responsibilities to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals to perform these essential functions.
