Xylem is seeking mechanically inclined professionals who are passionate about hands-on work and problem-solving. We encourage individuals with backgrounds in HVAC electrical work plumbing diesel and mechanical systems or construction to apply.
The Expert Field Service Technician is responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe efficient and professional manner. This includes proactive system troubleshooting performing mechanical and electrical maintenance conducting preventative maintenance managing parts inventory and identifying and correcting safety issues on both company-owned and customer-owned equipment.
This position requires regular customer interaction and may support multiple systems locations and clients. The role involves extensive travel up to 100% typically for one week at a time and occasionally up to two consecutive weeks depending on project needs.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain all required customer site clearances (TWIC DISA etc.).
25 years of technical experience in industrial or commercial process water systems mechanical or electrical environments.
Preferred:
Industry-specific licenses or certifications.
Prior field service or commissioning experience.
Experience with electrical mechanical diesel or fusion systems (depending on business unit).
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Office and smart devices.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
Capable of clearly communicating technical information to customers and colleagues.
Proactive problem solver who can adapt to new challenges and unexpected conditions in the field.
Pay Rate: $30$35 per hour
(Starting pay depends on skills experience and work location; not typically at the top of the range.)
