Job Summary
Lewis Rice LLC a large St. Louis law firm has an opening for an IP Paralegal. This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred. The hours of the position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans 401(k) plan and paid parking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys with all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution and maintenance
- Preparation and filing of applications and all associated documents
- Preparation of client reporting letters
- Direct correspondence with clients and foreign associates
- Information Disclosure Statements
- Preparation and filing of copyright applications
- Registration and renewal of domain name registrations
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred
- Any equivalent combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Organizational time management and prioritization skills required
- Ability to utilize technology resources to support clients and attorneys
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to communicate professionally
