Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS Garage Helper your responsibilities will include but not limited to washing trucks; safely driving trucks/trailers throughout the lot; janitorial duties; and assisting mechanics. US Foods Garage Helpers hourly rate is $22.21 per hour.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Great Garage Helpers are crucial to the US FOODS team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Garage Helpers strive for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with team members.
What you bring to the table
Education/Training:
High School education or equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have valid drivers license.
Previous mechanical experience a plus.
Class A CDL is a plus but NOT REQUIRED.
Related Experience/Requirements:
Any previousmechanical experience is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Knowledge of equipment repair and operation.
Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment desirable.
Welding ability desired.
Able to read and write legibly.
Basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply divide)
Able to work autonomously.
Must possess a valid drivers license.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education specific skills function geographic location and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.21and $27 per hour.
As applicable this role will alsoreceive: overtime compensation.
