Job Summary

This is a strategic foundational role where your technical mastery and architectural vision will directly shape the data strategy of major Norwegian enterprises.

The Role: Build the Core of Our Data & AI Future

As the Principal Data Platform Architect you will be the cornerstone of our data capabilities in Norway. You will define the technical vision establish delivery standards and act as the primary architectural authority for our most complex client engagements.

What You Will Deliver (Key Responsibilities):

Practice Leadership & Vision: Define the architecture standards best practices and delivery frameworks for all Azure-based data solutions across the practice.
End-to-End Solution Design: Architect robust scalable data platforms leveraging the full spectrum of the Azure Data Platform (Data Lake Synapse Data Factory Event Hub) in conjunction with Databricks (Spark Delta Lake MLflow).
Senior Client Advisory: Engage C-level and senior technical stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clear high-value technical architectures and actionable roadmaps.
Team Enablement: Mentor coach and guide our growing team of Data Engineers Scientists and Consultants fostering a culture of technical excellence and best-in-class delivery.
Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of the Azure/Databricks roadmap driving innovation and sharing expertise through industry events blogs and internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications :

What Were Looking For: The Elite Data Architect

We require a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Data Engineering/Architecture with at least 3 years of deep focused experience leading major Azure data platform projects.

Non-Negotiable Technical Expertise:

Microsoft Azure Data Platform: Deep expertise in architecting and implementing solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Azure Data Factory and Azure Event Hub/Kafka.
Databricks Mastery: Strong proven proficiency in the Databricks platform including advanced usage of Apache Spark Delta Lake and the MLflow ecosystem for enterprise workloads.
Expertise in defining data architecture principles designing robust ETL/ELT pipelines and advanced data modeling techniques.

Leadership & Consulting Mandate:

Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and effectively influence and communicate with senior client stakeholders.
A proven Consulting Mindset comfortable leading client-facing roles strategic pre-sales engagements and translating technical benefits into business value.

Preferred Certifications (Highly Valued):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Databricks Certified Professional Data Engineer
