Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for construction materials testing projects and with guidance on geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Prepare construction materials testing reports providing professional opinions and practical solutions along with other professional documents under the review of a professional engineer
  • Manage routine to complex materials testing projects and with guidance geotechnical engineering projects including project scope schedule budget and safety.
  • Work independently on specific assignments with senior review.
  • Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
  • Work with local leader and other regional operations to effectively coordinate field staff share resources and manage workloads.
  • Work with local leader other engineers and project managers and field staff to ensure specifications are followed.
  • Work closely with Senior Manager and Senior Engineers to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Assist Senior Manager and other leadership in developing business goals and objectives.
  • Support client relationships to effectively achieve market sector goals and strategies.
  • As needed perform various field testing and observations.
  • As needed assist field operations with technician training and review.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel Outlook SharePoint.
  • Ability to create maintain and communicate project budgets.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (BS) ingeotechnical civil or related engineering required.
  • Five or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience required or masters degree plus 4 years.
  • Previous experience with large scale construction projects
  • Experience working in a consulting firm required.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Ability to travel to other Texas offices on an as-needed basis.
