Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Develop scopes of work and prepare proposals for construction materials testing projects and with guidance on geotechnical engineering projects.
- Prepare construction materials testing reports providing professional opinions and practical solutions along with other professional documents under the review of a professional engineer
- Manage routine to complex materials testing projects and with guidance geotechnical engineering projects including project scope schedule budget and safety.
- Work independently on specific assignments with senior review.
- Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
- Work with local leader and other regional operations to effectively coordinate field staff share resources and manage workloads.
- Work with local leader other engineers and project managers and field staff to ensure specifications are followed.
- Work closely with Senior Manager and Senior Engineers to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Assist Senior Manager and other leadership in developing business goals and objectives.
- Support client relationships to effectively achieve market sector goals and strategies.
- As needed perform various field testing and observations.
- As needed assist field operations with technician training and review.
Required Skills

- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel Outlook SharePoint.
- Ability to create maintain and communicate project budgets.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree (BS) ingeotechnical civil or related engineering required.
- Five or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience required or masters degree plus 4 years.
- Previous experience with large scale construction projects
- Experience working in a consulting firm required.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Ability to travel to other Texas offices on an as-needed basis.

Compensation Range:
