Are you a skilled and reflective SEN Teacher ready to make a difference from January 2026 A warm community-focused primary school in Lambeth is seeking a SEN Teacher to join its inclusion team and lead targeted interventions across the school.
The SEN Teacher will work closely with the SENDCo to identify needs design evidence-informed programmes and deliver both withdrawal and in-class support. This SEN Teacher role in Lambeth will include responsibility for monitoring impact mentoring support staff and contributing to whole-school SEND planning. A structured induction will take place prior to January 2026 so the SEN Teacher is prepared for the spring term.
The successful SEN Teacher will be an excellent communicator confident with statutory processes and skilled at translating specialist strategies into practical classroom approaches. The Lambeth school places a strong emphasis on partnership working and the SEN Teacher will build effective relationships with parents and local agencies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality interventions and bespoke programmes to meet individual needs.
- Use assessment and progress-tracking to evaluate the impact of provision and refine approaches.
- Provide coaching and CPD to TAs and class teachers to improve inclusive practice.
- Manage referrals contribute to statutory review meetings and maintain clear records.
- Support transition planning and parent meetings to ensure continuity of provision.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with proven experience delivering SEND provision and interventions.
- Familiarity with statutory processes assessment frameworks and multi-agency working.
- Strong classroom practice effective communication and an empathetic approach with families.
- Able to take up the post in January 2026 and to work across the Lambeth community.
